David & Goliath
Watch the video at the bottom of the page and learn how the shepherd boy David defeated the giant warrior Goliath. David put his trust in God even when he faced a giant.
Memory Verse:
“When I am afraid,
I will trust in you.”
PSALMS 56:3 (CSB)

Going Further
Hi Everyone! A couple of ideas for family activities after watching this video:
1) Read 1 Samuel 16:15 – 17:49. Parents, you might want to read through it first on your own. There are a couple of graphic parts.
2) Trust. Take your child on a “trust walk.” Blindfold them and then lead them on a walk. Explain that even though they can’t see, they are holding the hand of someone who loves them and will guide them – someone they can trust just as we trust Jesus when we can’t see the future.
3) Victory over fear. If there is a specific area that your child expresses anxiety over, write out a prayer, containing scripture with a promise that speaks into the situation. Explain that every time that negative thought comes up, instead of feeding that fear, we’re going to use our energy to thank Jesus that He is in control and to claim that scripture.
