Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.

PSALM 119:11 (NASB)

Going Further

Hi Everyone! A couple of ideas for family activities after watching this video:

1) Read Matthew 25:14-30 “For it is just like a man about to go on a journey. He called his own servants and entrusted his possessions to them…..’ (CSB)

2) Key point. The servants were entrusted with the master’s talents. Two servants used the talents to earn more talents, and shared in the master’s happiness. One servant did nothing with the talent he was entrusted with and he was left with nothing. We should always invest God’s truths in others.

3) Family Time. Have your child(ren) write on slips of paper what their gifts are. ( A few examples might be: serving, sharing, showing enthusiasm, teaching, leading, music, cooking, organizing, showing patience, being joyful, demonstrating initiative, and being thorough.) Each child should place his gifts in a small box and wrap it. Bring out a trash can and have each child put their gift box in the can. Cover the gifts with pieces of newspaper, styrofoam, or whatever you would like. Now have a conversation about what blessings family and friends will be missing because those gifts (name the gifts) won’t be used. Talk about why we may bury our gifts. (Pride, laziness, fear). Mostly, God won’t be glorified. Now dig out the gifts. It’s time to offer them to God and ask His help in using those gifts for God’s kingdom!

4) Activities. Have fun using the activities below to emphasize the key points of the scripture.
