Going Further
Hi Everyone! A couple of ideas for family activities after watching this video:
1) Read/Review Acts 9:3-22 (NIV)
2) Family Time.
- Bring out a glass or a vase and ask “What is a vessel?” In some Bible versions, it’s called an instrument, but it doesn’t mean a musical instrument. [Reference Acts 9:15 (NKJV)].
- What kinds of things can a vessel hold?
- Can some things be bad and some good?
- What are some things Saul held in his heart when he did not choose to be God’s vessel?
- What are some bad things we can hold in our hearts if we are not choosing to be God’s vessel?
- Fill the vessel with water. Let’s say these are the bad things we hold in our hearts.
- Add food coloring to the water.
- Just as we converted this water from clear to (name color), God converted (changed) Saul’s heart so that he became a vessel for good.
- What are some of the good things Saul did after he was changed?
- Talk about any encounters with Jesus each of you have had. What is the difference between how you acted before you knew Jesus and now? Should others know that we have changed hearts after we accept Jesus? Why?
- Pray together as a family.
3) Activities.
- Draw a picture about today’s lesson, or color the printable coloring sheet (see below), take a picture and send it to Pastor Shaun so that it can be shared in next week’s video.
