Patience Wk 3

Patience

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

Romans 8:25 (ESV)

Waiting for God’s perfect timing – the ultimate application of demonstrating patience – waiting for something we do not see, but hope for. Watch the video below to learn more.

Memory Verse:

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

ROMANS 12:12 NIV

Going Further

Hi Everyone! A couple of ideas for family activities after watching the video:

1) Read/Review: Gen. 37, 39-41, & 50:20.

2) Family Time:

  • Discussion: Do you remember in the story of Elijah, we talked about “waiting with God” instead of just waiting for God? When we wait with God, it’s much easier to be patient because we’re choosing to trust God and enjoy the adventures He has for us. When we wait with God, it means we listen and continue to shine our light during the time of waiting, knowing that God has control of the situation. Can you think of any examples where Joseph was shining his light during his time of waiting? Did he always shine his light? How did his behavior change when he began to wait with God and shine his light?
