Kindness Wk3

Kindness

Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

COLOSSIANS 3:12 (CSB)

Have you ever heard someone say the act of niceness? I haven’t, but I have heard people say the act of kindness. As believers we must purpose, starting in our hearts, to be more than nice – let’s be kind! Watch the video below to learn how kindness was demonstrated by Jesus regarding children.

Memory Verse:

But when the time came for the kindness and love of God our Savior to appear, then He saved us, not because we were good enough to be saved, but because of His kindness. . .

TITUS 3:4, 5a TLB

Going Further

Hi Everyone! A couple of ideas for family activities after watching the video:

1) Read/Review: Matthew 19:13-15

2) Family Time:

  • Discussion: Can you imagine being brought right up to Jesus so He can put His hands on you and bless you? Would you feel disappointed if His disciples tried to send you away because they thought you weren’t important enough to take up His time? What does Jesus’ response, to His disciples, tell you about how He feels about children? How He feels about you? What do you think Jesus meant when He said that “the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these”?

  • Definition of KINDNESS: showing others you value them through thoughtful actions and words. Is it easy to be kind to someone who has been mean to you or to a beggar on the street? Maybe God prompts you to write a letter or call a grandparent. Your kind deed may be all someone needs to know that someone loves them.
  • Pray together as a family: Is there someone in your family who has not yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior?
