Goodness Wk4

Goodness

Because of this light within you, you should do only what is good and right and true.

EPHESIANS 5:9 (TLB)

The Good Samaritan prioritized sharing God’s goodness with others, over what pious people think or over severe restrictions of legalistic rules. Watch the video below to learn more of God’s goodness!

Memory Verse:

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 23:6

Going Further

Hi Everyone! A couple of ideas for family time after watching the video:

Family Time:

  1. Read/Review: Luke 10:25-37
  2. Activity: Use the following acrostic or create your own. Make a poster and decorate it.
    • G – Gentle, have a tender heart
    • O – Other-centered, put others first
    • O – Oasis, refresh others
    • D – Daring, go where others won’t
    • N – Nice, have a sweet soul
    • E – Energetic, serve tirelessly
    • S – Smiling, bless with your smile
    • S – Serene, bring calm to us all
  3. Definition of GOODNESS: The only true goodness we have is the goodness of God living in us. Having the gift of goodness means bringing glory to the true God of Heaven by doing good for others and worshiping only Him. God can depend on me to be honest, repent of my sins, and turn away from bad things.
  4. Pray together as a family: Is there someone in your family who has not yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior?
