There is a great deal of talk about “work-life” balance these days. We all like a balanced checkbook. And certainly to avoid bruising, we all try to keep our balance. The word balance is one that is nearly universally loved in our culture. Who can argue against a “balanced approach”? But what if there are areas of life that are supposed to be…imbalanced? In Romans 6, Paul will make that case for life in Christ. That the follower of Jesus can not afford to take a balanced approach to sin and faith, but must be all-in. The question for us is, are we willing?
